Where is the serial number on your Jeep radio?
Choose a similar radio or label. Copy the number from your own unit.

MyGIG · Harman
Number in this photo:
T00BE317750123
Uconnect / MyGIG
- Switch on the radio. If the code entry screen shows Serial Number, copy that number.
- If no serial appears on screen, read S/N or SERIAL NO. from the main radio unit's label.
A serial starting with TZ1AA belongs to the display. You need the separate radio unit's serial, such as TM9.
Radios with buttons
- Slide the radio out to reach the label on the top or side of its casing.
- Find S/N or SERIAL NO. and copy the full number, including any letters between the digits.
Serials can start with T19QN, T16QN, TM9 or T…AA, among other prefixes. RES and REQ are model identifiers, not serial numbers.
Continental / VP2
- Find the label on the radio casing and locate the full A2C, A3C, TQN or TVPQN number.
- Enter the whole number. If the form offers two label types, select the one that matches your radio.
Do not enter just the short S/N ending. For a small label, the form opens a separate QR code reading step.
RB3 navigation
- Slide the radio out and find the second label on the side of the casing.
- Copy the entire string beneath the barcode, as shown in the photo. It contains the model identifier and serial number.
The top T00BE serial on an RB3 is not enough. Use the side label number, e.g. 6802BD061074902.
Other radios
- Check the manufacturer and the label on the radio casing. Compare its markings with the photos.
- Beside SECURITY, look for a letter and three digits. This precode can also appear at the end of a long number below a barcode.
- Enter the precode or the full number ending in it. If your radio has a different serial number, enter it in full.
The label precode is used to recover the code. Do not enter it into the radio as a PIN.
Keep all letters and zeros. PART NO. identifies the part; ESN may identify the satellite receiver.
To reach the label, switch off the ignition, remove the trim as described in your vehicle manual, undo the fixings and gently slide the radio out. Do not pull on the cables.
